How to Put 2020 Wrangler Ignition in Lock State?
One customer asked how to put 2020 Wrangler's ignition in lock state.. The ignition is off and hazards on, but just get the ignition lock message on
Autel Diagnostic Tablet.
Scanned immo. Did it both with ignition off and on.
Checked fuses, battery. Original key stopped locking and unlocking doors but would still start vehicle.
Here we could check/ do:
1)If the car is in park, otherwise it'll think you're still in gear and won't let the ignition turn all the way off
2)Try opening and closing the door
3)If it has a security module you'll probably need a bypass cable for key programming.
4)If
Autel can scan engine codes thru the diagnostic side, if not, PCM and ESL (if it has one) is not powering up
5)Reset car by disconnecting the batteries
Here this is the way:
Reset everything by disconnecting the batteries and it worked.
Wrangler has 2 batteries under the hood and I had to disconnect them both
